The clinic failed to diagnose my dog’s overall illness. They missed a UTI and liver disorder. Their last directions were to take her home for 30 days and if she was still alive bring her back. I took my dog Taffy to Out West Vet clinic the next morning and they immediately diagnosed her problems, gave her a feeding tube for hydration and nutrition as well as treated her for pain and grave respiratory problems. Unfortunately after all they could do for her she had to be put to sleep to stop her suffering this past Thursday. I cannot say enough about how wonderful her care was at Out West Vet Clinic. I. tell everyone to avoid Chenal Valley vet clinic and take them to Out West if their dog or cat is gravely ill
So sweet and helpful when I had to have my dog cremated the day after Christmas💔
No review can truly encapsulate my gratitude for everyone at Chenal Animal Hospital.
I brought my raccoon, June, to Chenal desperate to get her the help she needed. From my very first phone call, Jasmine (I apologize if I’ve misspelled your name) patiently answered all of my questions and immediately put me at ease. Her kindness and confidence reassured me that June would be in excellent hands with the exotics team.
From that first conversation through every visit, I have experienced nothing but exceptional care, compassion, and professionalism. I wish I could name every member of the team. From the front desk staff, to the veterinary technicians, to Dr. Irene, Dr. Waylan, and everyone involved in June’s care, I will be forever grateful.
Dr. Irene, thank you so much for performing June’s amputation, we are so relieved to have June under your care 🩺 Although we are still in post op recovery ; I’ve been able to safely handle her without her trying to draw blood. The relief from the pain she had been living with has made an incredible difference in both her comfort and her behavior. She has not seemed distressed at all but the opposite with her amputation.
Although we’ve had a couple of setbacks after June removed her staples, your team has been there every step of the way. Thank you, Dr. Waylan and your team, for re-stapling her the first time, and thank you again, Dr. Irene, for doing the same when she needed additional care. June is no easy patient and has the strongest of wills, but you made it happen and continued to give her the necessary treatment.
Before coming to Chenal, I visited another veterinary clinic that left me feeling hopeless. At Chenal, I found exactly the opposite. Your team thoroughly evaluated June, accurately diagnosed her condition, and quickly performed the surgery she desperately needed. Even more remarkable, June was noticeably calmer with your staff than she had ever been at the previous clinic if you can believe that.
You haven’t just changed June’s life; you’ve changed the lives of our entire family. You’ve given us hope and the knowledge that
June now has the opportunity to live a happier, healthier life.
Thank you for your extraordinary compassion, patience, expertise, and kindness. We will never forget everything you’ve done for us. Thank you once again to everyone there who has been nothing but kind and accommodating throughout Junes visits. We will definitely be long term clients and cannot recommend Chenal Animal Hospital enough.
Absolutely beware of this place. Called in advance to schedule our dogs to be boarded. We provided vaccine records for our 3 dogs, but find they're not the correct ones. "No worries, we'll call them and get it sorted". They were unable to reach them on 6/19 but told us to go ahead and bring the dogs Monday (today, 6/22). I bring them at about 11am and again have the conservation that they're up to date on all shots. All 3 staff members present in the empty lobby tell us we're "good to go". The front desk tells us they'll call and get the records and "it shouldn't be a problem, don't worry about it, yall are good". Provided no paperwork to sign, so we believed the people running the show that we were "good to go" and we didn't worry about it. Nearly 6 hours later we get a call that our dogs are not good to go and they need an assortment of vaccines and an office visit with the vet who will administer the cocktail of vaccines to our dogs that already had said vaccines, to the tune of about $900. We obviously pushed back, knowing for a fact these shots are $5 and in no way require an office visit (because they're already in the building and have been for 6 hours). Whoever took the call stated "we've tried multiple times to contact you" which is not the case. The only call received from their number was at 4:35pm. The woman rudely told me that "it's their policy and im sorry you don't like our charges and services that go with the shots but you'll have to pay it or you'll be sent to collections. That or you'll have to get your dogs". We're 6 hours out of state at this point, so that's not feasible to get someone to stop every thing they're doing to get 3 dogs unexpectedly in 15 minutes. The woman continued on taking no accountability, instead blaming us for trusting the staff to do their jobs and believing what they told us, and only said she'd stay until 7pm but not any later, and rudely asked if anyone was going to get the dogs. Mind you, we just got this information and were scrambling. Her flippant, rude, and total disregard for accountability for her staff and the audacity to blame us for their shortcomings while demanding to know who was going to make it by her self imposed deadline got us into further disagreement and continual interruptions by her until she hung up on us. So if you wish to be shaken down by a vet clinic, by all means, go here. But if you want somewhere trustworthy that won't lull you into a false sense of security, pull the rug out from under you, blame you for it, then get mad you called them out on it then hangs up on you after you can't snap your fingers and get someone to grab your animals on a whim, it's best you go literally anywhere else.
